Meet Stefan Weichert, a Danish journalist living and working in Ukraine.

He is with us on a video link from Kharkiv, in Eastern Ukraine. Kharkiv is less than 30 km from the border to Russia and thus within range from the Russian artillery and of course Russian.

About Stefan:

Stefan Weichert followed the International Semester Programme at DMJX in 2013, graduated with his BA from DMJX in 2015, and with a Mundus Masters in 2018. During and after his studies, he also lived in USA and Egypt.
Stefan has lived and worked in Ukraine since 2019, and was – as was his friend and working partner Emil Filtenborg, also a DMJX graduate – shot and injured shortly after the Russian invasion in February 2022. The two have written a book about their experiences.

Stefan is back working in Ukraine, he has been at the frontlines numerous times, and will talk about that as well. He is with us on a videolink. He lives in the country’s capital city, Kyiv.
