Conflict/protests – texts, a video, and about the lecturer

“Media, conflict and bias: how to cover protests” by/ Jad Melki, ass. professor, LAU Beirut.

Room 3.16.
9.15-10.45

We are proud of once again welcoming Associate Professor Jad Melki from LAU Beirut in Lebanon to Aarhus.

Jad Melki will give two lectures here at DMJX.

In his lecture on  “Media, conflict and bias”, professor Melki will focus on the coverage of protests, terrorism and war, and define and describe the risks to mitigate.

There will be some short texts to read connected to the lecture.

As a bonus, he we will be able to discuss how reporters have different advantages and disadvantages, depending on their gender – for example in war areas, demonstrations and conflict zones  –  but also in the newsrooms and in media management and ownership.
